JA Roby Rigel EPA Wood Cook Stove with Top Warming Oven
J.A. Roby Rigel Wood Cookstove
Compact wood heat. Real stovetop cooking. Made in Canada.
The J.A. Roby Rigel combines efficient wood heating with traditional stovetop cooking in a compact, beautifully styled appliance. Built in Quebec, Canada, the Rigel is an excellent choice for cabins, smaller homes, homesteads, and households looking for dependable heat and the ability to cook without electricity.
With heating capability for approximately 500–1,800 sq. ft., up to 70,000 BTU of maximum output, an 18" log capacity, two removable cooking lids, and an overhead food warmer, the Rigel puts your firewood to work for more than simply heating the room.
Cook Directly Over the Fire
The Rigel features a black enameled cast-iron cooking plate with two removable cooking lids, bringing traditional wood-fired stovetop cooking into a modern EPA-certified appliance.
Cook with pots, pans, kettles, or cast iron while the stove is heating your home. The removable lids provide access to more intense heat when needed, making the Rigel useful for boiling water, frying, simmering, and preparing everyday meals.
Above the cooking surface, the integrated food warmer provides convenient additional space for keeping prepared dishes, bread, cookware, or serving pieces warm.
Please note: The Rigel does not have a conventional baking oven. It is designed for wood heating, stovetop cooking, and warming.
